2011 370z Right front end sound

Please help. When turning the steering wheel sharply to the right it feels like the front right tire is skidding or something and makes a knocking sound. Normal driving and turning feels fine. I thought maybe from turning really sharp could be problem but I really believe something is wrong. No shakes or anything in steering. Drives straight.

2011 touring model
15,000 miles
Warranty just ended in August 2014

Is there any recalls on this? I can't believe I can have a front end issue??

Please help.

New car already a tiny chip on the hood. . .

Had my new Z for 8 days an already have a tiny chip in the paint (magnetic black) on the hood. Is there any why to touch it up, like touch-up paint from Nissan? I'm looking into proffesionally installing a 3M clear bra on the front end. To bad I only found out about the 3M stuff today. I read and heard it's a great product if installed correctly. I orderd a vinyl bra, but did'nt like it so I'm sending it back.

Valvetrain knocking noise on oil change

A knocking noise from the valvetrain has been a complaint with the VQ37VHR engine on the G37. What happens is that the after an oll change, the engine is noisy from the top end. At first Nissan didnt know what was causing the problem but when the oil was replaced with genuine Nissan oil the problem stopped.

Apparently the DLC coating on the cam followers needs a ester synthtic to stick to it. There are rumors of $200 oil changes at the dealer, anyone know this to be true? Do you simply have to run a good qualty synthtic or do you have to run special and expensive Nissan oil?

P0106 code for map sensos which lights up my CEL HELP!?

Ok, first off im new and ive always used this website due to its valuable and great info on 370z's. Anyway i installed a K&N Typhoon CAI on my 370Z, for about 8 months it was fine running smooth and everything. But then after the CEL light popped up and then all of sudden it would go away. Now i took my car to an automotive store to run a diagnostics and that code "P0106" pops up which is the Barometric Pressure Sensor (MAP sensor). what i dont want to think is that the CEL is because of my CAI because a CAI isnt something that can screw with your car (at least i dont think so). So i went to my nearest Nissan Dealership and they told me that The "MAP" sensor is the same TWO SENSORS(MAF) that are on my CAI. First off i think thats not possible but i REALLY NEED HELP in fixing this problem i hate getting on my car and BOOM the CEL is ON . BTW i forgot to add that, yes, ihave used MAF cleaner on my MAF sensors, i did that at the same time i bought 2 new K&N Cone Filters. Now what they told me at the dealership is that maybe the MAF/MAP sensors might have a lose wire or maybe its just deffective and i need to replace both sensors (255 EACH! :crying So if anyone Can help i would appreciate it!!

steering reservoir

Hi guys, new to the forum.

I just bought a 2011 370z and was checking the fluid levels. Two questions: 1) How do you get off the cap for the reservoir? It doesn't have threads. Eventually I popped it off (applying pressure); however, there has to be an alignment trick to opening it. Turning it a certain way or something. 2) What is the optimal level for the fluid when checking cold? Should it be at the max or between the min and max? I say optimal because I need to bring it in for 15000 km maintanence and now the level is halfway between max and min. Should I top it off to max? Thanks

Illuminated Kick Plates from Nissan

Anybody buy and install the illuminated kick plates after the car was purchased? If so, how do you like them, even if they came already installed on your car? I'm wondering if the power supply wire for the lighting is right there when you take off the old plates. I was going to order them from the dealer. The stock ones look a little lame compared with the rest of the car.

Black Marks on Ray wheels

So I brought my vehicle in to the dealership to show them the black marks on my rims. I have the 19 inch Ray's and on all the rims there are small black dots or a long black streak. I have tried everything to get them off but nothing helps. They have never seen anything like this before b/c it is smooth and it can't be a chemical burn. They took pictures and sent it to HQ. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I saw them so hopefully I hear something soon. They said if it is a defect with my rims they will fix the rims.

Driving lights

Has anyone out there added some driving lights ? I'm thinking they should fit right in the little recesses on either side of the intake. Driving back roads in the dark every morning, I'd like to have a little better coverage to the sides so I could see small animals on the shoulder. I hit a skunk a while back and I'm a little paranoid. Saw him just in time to stop, but I was right on top of him when I did. Really don't want to do that again.
Thanks in advance.

Problem with 19" Ray wheels

I just baught the Roadster 370Z, sport Pkg, Auto, brilliant silver. I noticed that when turning the car left or right (turning at least 100 - 160 degree) I'm hearing the noise as if the wheel is making a contact on the car's wheel hood. I suspect because the wheel is big and wide that could be the reason? Pleease anyone who has the same problem please let me know.
