The stock flywheel is really heavy at 28 lbs so this should make a pretty good difference.  More noise and vibration though but who cares.

That doble mass flywheel is great at taking care of drivetrain shock, even i can do smooth shifts

Well I'm certainly all in favor of shaving weight and usually this is one of the great starting places but more vibration? Am I the only one who thinks there's a lot of vibration already (manual)??

The vibration isnt too bad, but it could bother really fussy people.  Coming from an EVO, you probably find that the Z is way more refined!  Even with a light flywheel, the NVH will be a lot better than an EVO.  I speak as an EVO owner and someone who has driven Z's a lot.

Refined for sure. However I do notice a bit of vibration in the stick and drivetrain on my Z whereas I didn't have any at all (even at the top end) on the Evo. That said, I am really liking the ride in my Z more than I did in my Evo and the creature comforts are of no comparison.

I hope the gains on this one are as goodd as the 350Z

Drove one before, and then immediatly after we had put it in. MAN what a difference that made! Any idea of what it gets to the wheels. I know the old ones were good for a few whp...

any word on how the lightened flywheel may or may not effect the synchrorev functionality?

My understanding is that it doesn't effect the rev-match since it's nothing more than the computer controlling the rpm's. If anything, it will achieve the desired rpm (match) that much faster as it's not rotating the excess weight (theoretically) however the rev-match function has nothing to do with flywheel.
