Just picked up my first Japanese Sports car last night, a new Silver Nismo. One rough ride but I love it. In the last two years I've owned a Porsche 996 Turbo, a 2007 BMW M6 and a Ferrari 360 Spider (not to mention many others). Long story why their all gone but if nothing else, dont ever buy a Ferrari, you may be able to handle the payment but the repairs and absolutely insane! Anyway, I want to get this thing done up, I'm thinking that STS Turbo system, maybe some carbon fiber, definitely a stereo and could it be right that I dont have a lighter for my phone charger or is it hidden somewhere? I suppose I'll start with the Turbo system, STS a good set up? Anything better for a Nismo? Last, anyone replaced that silly door in the middle of the dash where the nav goes, perhaps with a screen to monitor the turbo's or a DVD player, any ideas? Sorry for all the questions, just getting into this as I've always wanted to and tired of the Euro scene. MotoExtreme was my Bike shop, built Ducati's, GSXR's etc incase you're wondering. Thanks all. PS. I'm in LA, any local get together spots around here or OC? Awesome car, drove it all night last night, really a blast!!

Congratulations on your new purchase and welcome to Nissan.

I look to get a NISMO Z within the near future. I've driven the standard 370, with automatic/paddles and it was fairly powerful and tight. I liked it. But I prefer the 6spd manual, more power, and kit of the NISMO. I've seen one of each in black, pearl white, and silver. They look good in those colors.

Hey motoxtreme welcome to t
he forum and congrats on your new car. I also love bikes and got stuff from you in the past. The Nismo does not come with a lighter but there is an accesory plug under the glove compartment to the left of it for your radar detector or gps. I also had a 911 Targa and a Corvette C-5 and the Nismo so far is my favorite I got mine last July. Enjoy.

Hey Motoextreme, I picked up my Nismo last November and I love it! But like you said, I thought OMG this thing is rough, but it grows on you quick. You will want to check your front springs to make sure the packaging was removed (mine wasn't). That helps the ride a lot. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone and ask if anyone else was having paint chipping problems? I drive mine to work on two (2) major highways, but this is rediculous! I'm going to have to put a bra on 'er or something.
